Asked to vote on two key questions, the businesses in attendance voted ‘Word of Mouth’ as the top way of attracting new business whilst retaining staff and keeping up with technology were the greatest challenges facing them in the coming year. Retaining market share and quality and compliance followed closely behind.

The day concluded with an unusual session called ‘Laughter… It’s Good for Business’ led by Lisa Sturge of Laughterlines Coaching.

PETA Director, Bob Hiskey said: “PETA is owned and run by business, for businesses. We have been at the cutting edge of training and development provision on the South Coast, for over 45 years. PETA is here to help companies develop their people, improve their performance and advance their business. Our free training days give our customers a chance to network, learn about new business tools and strategies and be invigorated and inspired “
