New website for the Royal Navy, Royal Marines Widows’ Association
We have just designed and built a new website for the Royal Navy, Royal Marines Widows’ Association. We designed their last website in 2012 and it lasted brilliantly but the organisation wanted a new look so we have developed this new website.
Supported by a small committee of volunteers, all of whom are themselves, widows, the association works tirelessly to provide support to those who have lost a recognised partner who was serving or has served in the Royal Navy or Royal Marines. Formed in 2008 their aim is to bring friendship, support, guidance, and comfort to those who have experienced the trauma of bereavement.
The new website explains the help and support on offer and includes links to the Facebook page where you can add updates, and get an update on their news. They also have a private Facebook group, only for members, where you can interact with others to make friends and share experiences. www.facebook.com/rnrmwidowsassoc
The website also has quotes from members who have been helped by the support offered by the association such as:
“Life came crashing down on me when the news came that my husband had died in Iraq. But life does carry on, I will never be the same, but somehow I am learning to live with this new life. Having met with other widows I feel less alone”
The new website also includes links to a host of other really useful websites offering much-valued support. From assistance with pensions to support for bereaved children, there are many web links to look at. The association invites people to join as members and is always happy to receive donations from people wishing to support their valuable work.
We take our hats off to the dedicated team for offering this service to others in need of support.
